Brief

Vox populi  a Latin phrase that literally means voice of the people, is a term often used in broadcasting for interviews with members of the "general public".A tool often used in market research and the media to discover the opinion of "the man on the street". You will have seen "vox pops" in magazines, newspapers and the broadcast media (most notably news programmes and comedy shows).

We have been allocated a group-

Group 1
Ben Stokes
Charlotte O'Neill
Keeley Thomas
Rebecca Baker
Shannon Landers

In the group we were to decide on a topic and some questions we would ask the public in a number of shoots in Manchester in the next few weeks. The images we need to produce should reflect the answers given. The final result of the module will be 4- 8 images which should present our idea.

Our initial idea before going on the first shoot is to ask the public how they see themselves and then ask them to draw this on a whiteboard/ piece of card. The answers/ drawings that we photograph will leave behind a psychological reflection into the persons confidence/ insecurities. Through the photographs we produce we may see a pattern into how differently women/ men see themselves, giving us a insight into the society of today. The drawings that people may draw may reflect heroes that admire or just simply what they look like, either way it will be very interesting.

We will need to consider factors such as location, lighting, roles, model release forms and equipment before the shoot.
